This place is absolutely mind-blowing! We loved the screen-free and WiFi-free environment, it really allowed us to disconnect and bond with each other. The board games and children's story book provided added a super fun element to our stay. The private lake was jaw-dropping, perfect for kayaking, canoeing, and stand up paddling. And let's talk about the view from the deck while BBQing - it was absolutely breathtaking! The tranquility and beauty of the property is like no other. We also enjoyed the outdoor shower and the clean composting toilet. The tipi was spacious and comfortable, with amazing views and a neat boardwalk. And of course, the horses and goats on the property were the cherry on top! This place is a paradise for outdoors lovers, and we highly recommend it for families or groups of friends.

My family and I recently stayed at Bear Valley Highlands and we had a wonderful time. The Mongolian style yurt we stayed in was incredibly clean and organized, providing a beautiful and spacious space for our family of three. The hosts were so kind and even made us a delicious apple cinnamon cake upon our arrival. The location was perfect for a peaceful escape, surrounded by stunning natural beauty. We enjoyed exploring the local hikes and relaxing in the peaceful surroundings. I highly recommend Bear Valley Highlands for a comfortable and remote yurt experience.

The stay was mind-blowing, with a super comfortable yurt and an amazing location. The hosts were incredibly friendly, treating us to delicious apple cinnamon cake and ensuring the yurt was cozy with the woodburner. The lake was beautiful and peaceful, and we loved spending time with the friendly goats. The composting toilet was surprisingly clean. The property offered amazing views, even though the BC wildfires had obstructed the distant view. The yurt was fully equipped and more comfortable than most hotel rooms. The hosts, Barbara and Joe, were fantastic, providing us with everything we needed and engaging us in GREAT conversations. We had a fantastic time exploring the local hikes and enjoying the tranquil surroundings. The tipi also provided jaw-dropping views, and the gas fire pit was a nice touch. We had a fantastic four-night stay and would highly recommend it to anyone.

The yurt was incredibly comfortable and fully equipped with everything we needed. the hosts were amazing and went above and beyond to make sure we felt welcomed and taken care of. They even baked us a delicious apple cinnamon cake and had the woodburner going when we arrived late in the evening. the location was fantastic, offering a remote and secluded getaway surrounded by beautiful nature.
The only minor issue we had was finding the hotel, as it was quite remote and the turnoff was difficult to see in the dark. It would have been helpful to receive clearer directions or be informed to turn right 11kms heading East on Hwy 6 from a nearby Shell station.

We had the most incredible stay at Bear Valley Highlands! The tranquility and breathtaking views from our cabin's porch were beyond words. It was the perfect escape for our family, and being only 10 minutes from Lumby made it convenient for groceries. We highly recommend renting all three accommodations for a getaway with loved ones. The cabin itself was well-equipped and provided a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. We loved the screen-free and WiFi-free environment, which allowed us to truly connect with each other. Board games and a children's storybook in the bedroom kept everyone entertained. The private lake was a hit with our boys who enjoyed kayaking, canoeing, and stand up paddling. And at night, the starry sky was like a Milky Way. BBQing on the deck with a mountain view and pasture made our evenings even more special. Bear Valley Highlands exceeded our expectations and we will definitely be returning.

The location of this hotel was absolutely beautiful and offered stunning natural surroundings. We loved the fact that there was a private lake on the property where we could go canoeing. It was a great way to relax and enjoy the outdoors. Additionally, the hosts were very friendly and accommodating, ensuring that we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay.
We did have some issues with our accommodation. We stayed in a tipi, but unfortunately, there were openings on the ground and in the roof, which allowed mice to enter our space.
